CLISP (2010 – 2011)
Climate Change Adaption by Spatial Planning
CLISP aims at preventing increasing climate change-related spatial conflicts, vulnerability, damages and costs by providing ‘climate proof’ spatial planning solutions as a substantial basis for future sustainable territorial development in the Alps. As climate change adaptation & mitigation is a novel field for spatial planning policy and administration, CLISP is a strategic pilot project. Its main pillars are assessment of the vulnerability of Alpine regions/municipalities to climate-change related risks, evaluation of the ‘climate change fitness’ of current spatial planning systems and intense risk
communication & governance in model regions.
