Research Infrastructure

Geospatial research and development requires extensive infrastructure, mostly software technology operating on distributed servers, desktops and mobile devices; as well as various kinds of sensors and platforms. The Interfaculty Department of Geoinformatics, jointly with other departments and partner institutions is investing in and maintaining state-of-the art technologies and equipment within the framework of the 'core facility' Geoinformatics. Several key technology assets are detailed here, for information on other items please contact Z_GIS staff.
